About me
Wendy Sutherland, Executive Coach
Post Graduate Diploma in Coaching for Behavioural Change, Professional Certificate in Executive Coaching, MBA, FIH, FCMI. Member of the Association for Coaching
Trustee of the Institute of Hospitality and Stratford School Academy
Having worked in leadership roles and now supporting leadership teams as a Board member, I understand the pressures experienced by senior leaders and know how and when to challenge.
I provide space and time for others to think, which is highly valued by busy people. As someone who loves change and developing new skills, I can be directive in a mentoring capacity, quietly challenging as an executive coach or use a combination approach.
I work with individuals or organisations who want to provide external support for their leaders and have an agile, flexible ability which allows me to create bespoke packages.
Having worked with large corporations, public sector and not for profit organisations, I have a wealth of knowledge about the pressures faced by all members of an organisation, preventing them from being their best selves. Reaching a fork in the road and not knowing which route to take is something I have helped others to navigate when providing mentoring and coaching support.
Having led teams at different stages of my own career, I understand the weight of responsibility felt by senior leaders. My executive coaching training and coaching for behavioural change skill sets facilitate personal growth, allowing space and time for senior leaders to move from good to great.
Having worked in the hospitality sector for many years, I am very aware of the acute skills shortages in the workplace and have experience of developing and nurturing individuals to be successful and fulfilled. Growing talent within an organisation is the right thing to do, building loyalty and a caring culture as well as making good financial sense. One-to-one coaching sessions with me, as part of a career development programme delivers a tailored, bespoke approach showing how much you care about your employees.
If you would like to arrange a call to find out more, please contact me, Wendy Sutherland. I cover the south of England and operate predominantly in London, Hertfordshire and Essex for face-to-face meetings. Online coaching can however be delivered to all parts of the UK.
My Values
I work tirelessly to provide appropriate, well thought out coaching support to my clients, delivering for both individuals and organisations.
I believe happy, fulfilled and confident people can achieve great things and being kind to ourselves and others is the foundation for this. Treating people with respect and being aware of our impact on others is something I hold dear.
I value the benefit of continuous professional development for me and those I work with. Maintaining a growth mindset unlocks potential and supports my mission to be the best I can be.
In addition, I believe it’s important to:
- listen carefully to my clients
- always behave in an ethical and professional manner
- do what I say I will do
- create a positive impact for my clients
Social Value
Giving back to the community is something I firmly believe in; therefore, I provide pro-bono coaching to those in need but who may not be able to pay.
I will donate free coaching sessions when a client books 10 or more sessions. The free sessions may be used to help young people, those looking for work, an exec team member in a not-for-profit organisation or a recipient of my client’s choice. This not only supports my social value ethos but also assists my clients with doing the same.
